Workzil's AI is the product. The candidate-side moat (1-click apply with profile, AI fit score, conversational JD) is what no ATS vendor can copy without rebuilding their whole company.
We're looking for a Founding AI Engineer to own that surface end-to-end: the screening pipelines, the Learn-More chat + voice agents, the auto-sourcing matcher, the multi-stage interview agent. You'll work with the founding team on what to ship next and own the latency, eval, and cost of every AI surface.
What you will own
- Own the AI screening + ranking pipeline
- Build the Learn-More chat + voice agents on every JD
- Build the auto-sourcing matcher (candidate pool ↔ open roles)
- Set up evals + cost dashboards across every AI surface
Who you are
- 4+ years shipping production ML / LLM systems
- Strong fluency with the modern AI stack (OpenAI, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, vector DBs)
- You think in evals, not in vibes
- You can write tight Python and tight TypeScript
- Deep curiosity for what makes hiring broken — and a strong aesthetic for what good looks like
